I know I am late to the party, but I have an excuse. I put up my blog just a couple days ago. So please, excuse me if you can. Also, if my writing style is not that great, is because I have been away from the blogging world in the last 8 years or so… Don’t be too harsh 🙂
My 20 for 2020 will be split into two post, one today and the second one in a couple days after. For each book, you have a link with the GoodReads page, where you can find the synopsis and other details that you need.
I chose these books because, like in case of CAPTIVE (NEED #2) BY CARRIE JONES , when I have read the first volume, so many years ago, I have absolutely loved it! I always wanted to continue with this series, but I wished to read it in my native language, Roumanian. And since the publishing house that at that time had bought the first volume, didn’t continue with the series, and with so many books around, with shame, I say that most of the time I forgot about this one. But sometimes, I did remember about it, and last year finally I have bought all the books in the series. Now they are all waiting to be read! And will be, at least the 2nd volume!
THE SELECTION (THE SELECTION #1) BY KIERA CASS is in this list mostly because: 1. I have the box set and I die I little inside every time when I see them. 2. I love how the pages feel at touch, they feel unusually soft! 3. Because I know it’s what a lot of people call it a “guilty pleasure”.
About THE RAVEN BOYS (THE RAVEN CYCLE #1) BY MAGGIE STIEFVATER and STRANGE THE DREAMER (STRANGE THE DREAMER #1) BY LAINI TAYLOR I can tell you that I am waiting to read them since the day they have been published! I love both authors, they are on my top list of favorite authors, and I am 99% sure that I will love the heck out of these ones!
LITTLE FIRES EVERYWHERE BY CELESTE NG and SUMMER OF SALT BY KATRINA LENO made it to this list because they are hard hitting, or so I heard. I want to read this year at least a couple of books that will make me cry like a baby, that will make feel and will reap my heart out of my chest!
Do I really need to say why I want to read NEVERNIGHT (THE NEVERNIGHT CHRONICLE #1) BY JAY KRISTOFF and THE POPPY WAR (THE POPPY WAR #1) BY R. F. KUANG ? Do I?!
Have you read any of these? Do you plan to read any? Let me know in the comments bellow what you think and by all means, don’t hesitate to recommend me some more books.
See you in a couple of days with the second part.
Wish you all the best!
